Sticking to meta strategy is good, but remember it is not a stumbling block you should rely on in any situation.
The player can do fine with good old Railgun + SPX 464 or even M14 + FN FAL. Sharpshooter is not limited only to some specific, 'traditional' setup. For example, it is not necessary to rush to M99 + S&W 500 Magnum loadout when the amount of players is less than five or four. Just remember that player should adjust his setup, depending on the amount of active players in a match. I wouldn't say meta builds and loadouts are super-important on higher difficulties.
